VE DAY
May 8th, 1945, marks Victory in Europe (V.E. Day). Great Britain and American rejoiced. Rations that had been saved were brought out for the celebrations. Cakes and others sweets were made especially for the children, who had not had sweets in years. Mass hysteria broke out because of the jubilation of the people.
